Spectrum offers over 1,100 USP/NF/FCC chemicals, more than any other US supplier.
Spectrum's online catalog lists over 1,500 chemicals and more than 2,000 supplies and
equipment ready to meet your needs. Further, we are DEA registered to manufacture controlled substances
in California.
Spectrum is the only supplier to the compounding industry that carries an ISO 9001:2000 certification.
Our California and New Jersey facilities are FDA registered and operate under current Good Manufacturing
Practices (cGMP). Spectrum Pharmacy Products, a division of Spectrum Chemical Manufacturing Corporation,
is committed to quality at every level of its organization.
We provide free technical support to assist our customers. Our technical support staff has a wide range of
experience as pharmacy owners, compounding pharmacists, and compounding technicians. Spectrum's unique
position in the industry allows us to offer you the tools necessary to develop your own quality assurance
program. We’ve added a new "Quality Assurance/Control" section that features instrumentation no other
supplier offers, such as moisture analyzers and melting point apparatus, items that can ensure your
pharmacy practice yields the highest quality compounded preparations.
In addition to having extensive testing laboratories in the United States, Spectrum recently established
a significant testing laboratory in China. Certificates of Analysis and MSDS are available for all
our manufactured products. Our product label, recognized for quality around the world, contains
the essential scientific, technical, and safety information critical to your operation, in an easy to
understand format.
Spectrum Pharmacy Products supports the
International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists, the
National Community Pharmacists Association, the
American Pharmacist Association, and the
American College of Apothecaries. We work closely with colleges of pharmacy so that the future of compounding is guaranteed
through education. Most recently we established a Preceptor Program for in-company training of student
interns attending college of pharmacy programs. At Spectrum Pharmacy Products, we continue to seek new
and improved ways of serving the compounding community while focusing on the real customer, your patient.
