Also known as Dipotassium hydrogenphosphate or Dipotassium phosphate, this reagent has a very high buffering capacity. It presents as a white crystalline powder. It is stable, hygroscopic and soluble in water as clear and colorless. Potassium Phosphate Dibasic increases the partition coefficients of amino acids in aqueous two-phase systems. It is also corrosive, irritating and harmful if swallowed.
