Labconco delivers essential solutions that meet the demands of USP for the preparation of both non-sterile and sterile drugs in today’s compounding pharmacies. Labconco enclosures incorporate unmatched safety-enhancing features, thoughtful ergonomics and high-quality materials such as stainless steel and glass to protect compounding personnel and their patients.

For non-sterile USP <795> compounding, Labconco XPert^® Systems protect the user from non-hazardous drug powders. For USP <800>, RXPert^™ Systems protect the user from hazardous drug powders. Exhausted or double filtered RXPerts, and kits to convert existing XPerts, are available in a wide variety of dimensions.

For sterile compounding, Labconco has a full lineup of USP <797> compliant biosafety cabinets (BSCs) and clean benches. For USP <800> compounding, biosafety cabinets such as the Purifier^® Axiom^® keep sensitive sterile injectables like chemotherapies free of cross contamination and out of harm’s way of technicians and pharmacists. Labconco’s Purifier® Horizontal Clean Benches offer a simple, ergonomic platform for compounding of sterile, non-hazardous products.

Labconco RXPert^™ Filtered Balance Systems are flexible, powder-containing enclosures specifically designed to meet USP <800> guidelines for hazardous non-sterile compounding. To withstand the rigorous demands of compounding pharmacies, RXPert Filtered Balance Systems (a type of Class I BSC) are constructed of durable glass and steel, and are third-party validated to ensure maximum powder containment.

RXPert Filtered Balance Systems for hazardous non-sterile compounding typically require a segregated compounding room known as a Compounding Secondary Engineering Control, or C-SEC. Per USP <800>, a C-SEC is negatively pressurized between 0.01 and 0.03" of water column, is vented to the outside and has at least 12 air changes per hour.

RXPert Single Filtered Systems are filtered and exhausted for compounding pharmacies that choose to duct their enclosures for hazardous non-sterile compounding.

RXPert Double Filtered Systems are double HEPA-filtered (redundant) enclosures that require no ductwork. RXPert Double Filtered Systems are the only non-sterile compounding enclosures with 100% scannable redundant filters, which ensure maximum safety for compounding pharmacists and technicians.

Already have a Labconco XPert System and need to comply with USP <800>? Upgrade your existing non-sterile compounding enclosure with a field-installable option.

• Double HEPA Filtration Kit, shown at left, converts an XPert System into a double HEPA-filtered, USP <800> compliant enclosure.

• Canopy Connection Kit for XPert Systems allows for exhausting via ductwork after single HEPA filtration. Requires ductwork and remote blower (not included). Models below have 6.1" ID, 6.3" OD connection.

Purifier Axiom^® Class II, Type C1 Biosafety Cabinets provide maximum protection for compounders and their preparations in an innovative design that minimizes demand on cleanrooms by exhausting less air.

• Bag-In/Bag-Out HEPA filter exchange system allows filters to be replaced while maintaining containment of hazardous materials

• Provides full hazard containment while reducing room air requirements on cleanrooms (compared to Class II, Type B2 BSCs)

Additional options available. BSCs require 496-27848 Air-Tight Manual Duct Damper and remote blower (not included).

Purifier Logic^® + Class II, Type A2 Biosafety Cabinets are also available but do not offer full protection from hazardous vapor-forming drugs, solvents and other liquids.

• Provides containment from aerosolized hazards while reducing room air requirements on cleanrooms (compared to Class II, Type B2 BSCs)

XPert^® Filtered Balance Systems are flexible, HEPA filtered enclosures that maximize containment of dangerous powders when compounding non-sterile preparations. A type of Class I BSC, XPert Systems offer third-party validated powder containment, and durable construction using glass and steel, to withstand the rigorous demands of compounding pharmacies.
